Gouraud or Flat Shaded mode distortion

Issue

You changed the shade mode to Flat Shaded or Gouraud Shaded and the sides of the 3D structural members looked distorted. See the image below for an example of distortion.

Solution

Distortion can be caused by your display driver settings. You will need to turn on hardware acceleration for your video card. Follow these steps: 

  1. At the command prompt, enter 3DCONFIG.
  2. Enter L (acceLeration).
  3. Enter H (Hardware).
  4. Enter D (Driver Name), and then enter the driver name. If you do not know the driver name, press ENTER and the available options will be listed on the command line. Select the available HDI file.
  5. Enter X (Exit).
