How to remove and add the C-Dilla licensing software Solution
Occasionally it is necessary to remove the C-Dilla licensing for troubleshooting purposes. This document steps you through the removal and reinstallation of the C-Dilla licensing software. A Note about the C-Dilla software: The C-Dilla software by Macrovision is used by 3ds max and other applications for license management. When 3ds max is launched by the user, a query is sent to the C-Dilla software to determine if there is a license file present, and if so, if it is valid. The C-Dilla software looks for and interprets the license file, which is a data file.
This data file does not uninstall with the software. This allows the user to remove the C-Dilla software in 'Add/Remove Programs', then reinstall it, without jeopardizing the license. Downloading the C-Dilla software: Here is the latest version of the C-Dilla Standalone License Manager software and associated ReadMe file: C-Dilla3.27.zip C-Dilla3_27.htm Remove the C-Dilla software: Follow these simple guidelines to successfully remove the C-Dilla service: - Make sure there is no running application running in the background
- Go to 'Add/Remove Programs' from the Start > Settings > Control Panel (see figure 2)
