Autodesk Map™ 6 and migration of customized coordinate system files from Autodesk Map 5 Issue
You defined custom coordinate systems or modified your Autodesk Map™ 5 coordinate system files and you are intending to upgrade or have upgraded to Autodesk Map 6. Solution
Any modification of Autodesk Map 5 coordinate system files (for example, creation of custom coordinate systems) will inhibit the installation of the new Autodesk Map 6 coordinate system files during an upgrade.
Use the appropriate procedure to resolve this problem.
If you have not yet upgraded to Autodesk Map 6:
- Rename the ...\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\GIS\CoordSys\10 folder (for example, to ...\10Map5).
- Install Autodesk Map 6 software.
- Run csupdate.exe from the renamed folder (for example, 10Map5) to the newly created \Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\GIS\CoordSys\10 folder.
Note: For detailed instructions on using csupdate.exe, see the csupdate.hlp Help file located in the \Program Files\Autodesk Map 6\Help folder.
If you have already upgraded to Autodesk Map 6:
- Rename the ...\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\GIS\CoordSys\10 folder (for example, \10Map5).
- Reinstall Autodesk Map 6 software using the Repair option.
