How do I control the display of the Ribbon in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010? Issue
After becoming familiar with the new Ribbon Interface, you may wish to maximize your available drawing working space and would like to know the options for controlling how much of the ribbon is displayed. Solution
There are three states for the Ribbon, which can be controlled by clicking the arrow icon on the right edge of the Ribbon tabs as shown in the following image: Clicking through these three options will return you to the original state. The three states are: - Full Ribbon - shows the entire Ribbon with tabs and panel titles (default state).
- Minimized to Panel Titles - shows only the tab and panel titles. Hovering over a panel title will auto-open the panel. It will auto-close when you move the cursor off the opened panel area.
- Minimized to Tabs - shows only the Ribbon tab titles. You must click on a tab to open it. The tab will then auto-close when you move the cursor off the opened Ribbon tab area.
In addition, entering the command RIBBONCLOSE will close the entire ribbon. Entering the command RIBBON will turn it back on.
