Stitcher exits on startup with error message 'Failed to create empty document'

Issue

When you start Autodesk® Stitcher™, it crashes with the following error message: 

Failed to create empty document

Solution

This error message indicates that there was a problem creating the OpenGL™ environment. To resolve this error, install the latest driver for your graphics board available from the vendor's website.
