Issue

When you started Autodesk® NavisWorks®, you received the following error message:

This application has failed to start because SPWNI.dll was not found

Solution

The SPWINI.DLL file was created by 3Dconnexion, a Logitech company that produces 3D mouse peripherals. This error has been associated with Dell workstations, even if a 3D mouse is not installed.

To resolve this issue, obtain a copy of the SPWINI.DLL file from the 3Dconnexion website. The file is included in the driver download for SpaceNavigator PE. Download and install this driver.
