Issue

You want to know which versions of the MySQL database are recommended for connections from the AutoCAD® Map 3D Display Manager (FDO or Feature Data Objects).

Solution

The following versions of the MySQL database were tested by Autodesk for FDO connections from AutoCAD Map 3D:

AutoCAD Map 3D 2010 (FDO 3.4.0)

  • MySQL version 5.1.23 with the 5.0.27 libmysql.dll file.
  • For ODBC connections, MySQL Connector version 3.51.20 is required.

AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 (FDO 3.3.1)

  • MySQL version 5.0.27.
  • MySQL version 5.0.22 with the 5.0.27 libmysql.dll file.
  • For ODBC connections, MySQL Connector version 3.51.20 is required.

AutoCAD Map 3D 2008 (FDO 3.2.1)

  • MySQL version 5.0.22.
  • For ODBC connections, MySQL Connector version 3.51.12 is required.
