DXF export configuration

Published date: 2008-Aug-26
ID: TS1076066

Applies to:
Autodesk® Inventor™ Professional 2008
Autodesk® Inventor™ Suite 2008

Issue

You right-clicked a flat pattern in a sheet metal part and selected Save Copy As > DXF file > Save from the context menu. However, you could not select a saved configuration file from the drop-down menu.

Solution

This is a known limitation in Inventor™ 2008. As a workaround, you can use the saved configuration in the drawing environment. Follow these steps:

  1. Create a new drawing that contains a flat pattern view.
  2. Click File menu > Save Copy As > Options.
  3. You can now select a saved configuration file from the drop-down menu.
