Issue

You noticed that linear lights were rendered as spot lights instead.

Solution

This problem will occur if soft shadows have been disabled in the Rendering settings for the view. To correct the problem

  1. In the Rendering dialog box, select Edit from the Settings drop-down menu.
  2. Select the Enable Soft Shadows dialog box.

Note: You may need to click the Copy to Custom button to copy the default settings to the Custom settings in order to change this setting.
