Fatal error when saving a drawing using SAVE or QSAVE Issue
When you tried to save a drawing using SAVE or QSAVE, you received a fatal error message. Solution
Vertical applications built on AutoCAD, such as Civil 3D, create some special object entities known as proxy objects. To see these Civil 3D proxy objects when you open a Civil 3D drawing in other Autodesk products, the PROXYGRAPHICS system variable must be set to 1 when you save the drawing. However, if your drawing contains large amounts of data, saving images of all the Civil 3D proxy objects in the drawing can overwhelm system memory and cause this fatal error. To correct this issue, you can try turning off the saving of proxy objects. Follow these steps: - On the command line, enter PROXYGRAPHICS.
- Change the value to 0.
Note: If this drawing is opened in applications other than Civil 3D, the Civil 3D objects will not be displayed.
