When you tried to open a drawing using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 as AutoCAD or AutoCAD Land Desktop 2009, you received a fatal error similar to one of the following messages:

FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 1d4f3d46h

Solution

This issue is caused by the order in which the files were loaded. To resolve your issue, you need to manually load AeccLand.dbx before you try opening the drawing file.

After you start the application, follow these steps:

  1. At the Command prompt, enter Appload.
  2. In the C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 directory, select AeccLand.dbx, and then press the Load button.
  3. On the command line you should see a message stating that AeccLand.dbx was successfully loaded.
  4. Click Close.

You should now be able to open the drawing file.
