You want to know how to exclude a component or part from the AutoCAD® Mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM) so that when the DWG file is checked into Productstream™ and assigned an item, the excluded components and parts are not assigned items and not displayed in the Bill of PS Materials.

To exclude a component or part from the BOM
In the Structure browser of AutoCAD® Mechanical, right-click the component. Click Reference.
Now, when the DWG file is checked-in to Productstream™ and assigned an item, the excluded components and parts will not be displayed in the BOM.
