Alias Catia V5 Direct Connect

Alias CATIA v5 Direct Connect Software Patch is a patch update to Alias CATIA v5 Direct Connect. The patch removes the restriction of requiring a local installation of CATIA v5 on the same machine as the Alias CATIA v5 Direct Connect Translator. With this patch, the Alias CATIA v5 Direct Connect Translator will work with a Network installation of CATIA v5.

In addition, the patch contains fixes for customer-reported software issues. We recommend that all StudioTools customers who have purchased Alias CATIA v5 Direct Connect install this software update.

Download Instructions

Please follow these downloading and installation instructions for Catia V5 Direct Connect Patch 1.

Windows 2000, and XP

1. Click the Download Catia V5 Direct Connect for Windows link to download the<str_catv5patch1_win32>.exe file to your machine.

Note: If you are not immediately prompted to save the download, you may need to force a download. To do so Right-click the link

2. You are prompted for a location to store <str_catv5patch1_win32>.exe.
Save the download to a disk with adequate space. Depending on your system configuration, you may require free disk space on your C: drive equivalent to 2 or 3 times the size of the download.

3. When the download is complete, double-click <str_catv5patch1_win32>.exe to launch the self extracting archive.

4. Browse to the folder where you extracted the archive. The default location is C:\ CATIAV5_Patch1

5. Proceed with the installation by following the Installation instructions available in the README.txt file which is included as part of the downloaded archive.

IRIX

1. Click the Download Catia V5 Direct Connect for IRIX link to download the<str_catv5patch1_irix>.tar file to your machine.
Note: If you are not immediately prompted to save the download, you may need to force a download. To do so Right-click the link

2. Open a Unix shell and locate the downloaded tar file.

3. Extract the tar file using the following command: tar xvf <str_catv5patch1_irix>.tar

4. Proceed with the installation by following the Installation instructions available in the README.txt file which is included as part of the downloaded archive.
