Hotfix - Improve performance for Content Center Libraries in Autodesk Data Management Server 5

The performance of certain content center operations are substantially slower when Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is being used. This hotfix resolves the performance issue.

Warning
A migration of the databse must be performed after applying this patch. See instructions below.

Installation Instructions

  1. Begin with Autodesk Data Management Server 5 SP1 installed.
  2. Open Vault Manager and make sure all databases are fully migrated to the latest version. If not, please migrate them before proceeding.
  3. Close the Vault Manager application.
  4. Download TS1070133.zip hotfix.
  5. Extract the file to a temporary directory on your server.
  6. Double-click on TS1070133.exe to install the hotfix.
  7. Open a command prompt and navigate to the installed location of Connectivity.VaultManager.Exe
  8. Run Vault Manager b2bmigrate operation in command line mode:
    Ex: Connectivity.VaultManager.Exe -Ob2bmigrate -DBUsa -BPAutodeskVault
    (the last two cmdline parameters are required only if the ‘sa’ password is not the default "AutodeskVault" password)
  9. When the 'migration successful' dialog displays the hotfix is complete.
