Activation errors when running program on a machine using external USB devices

Issue

When you activated the software and restarted the program, you received activation errors. These errors either occured within the same Windows session or when the machine was rebooted. Your computer usually has external USB devices, such as hard drives, thumb drives or hardware lock keys, attached. The most common error messages received were 0.1.0011 or 11.1.6011.

Solution

These errors can occur on systems that have incorrectly configured USB devices attached. Problems with USB device drivers or firmware will cause errors with product activation.

To resolve this issue, either contact the USB device manufacturer for updated drivers/firmware or replace the USB device with one that will support the product activation system. There are no settings within the application that will make the activation compatible with these USB devices.

Note: There are other reasons you might see these types of activation errors. See related solutions for additional information.
