Issue

After you started the installation of Land Desktop SP1 by selecting the deployment shortcut, you received the following error message:

Solution

The error occurs because Service Pack 1 has been applied to the deployment and Group Policy Objects have been selected to distribute the deployment.

To correct this issue, it is strongly recommended that you try one of the following options:

  • Use a Land Desktop 2007 deployment that does not include Service Pack 1, and then install Service Pack 1 on the workstation after the installation of Land Desktop 2007.
  • Modify an existing Land Desktop 2007 deployment by clearing the "Group Policy Objects will be used to distribute the deployment" check box.
  • Create a new Land Desktop 2007 deployment with Service Pack 1 applied and clear the "Group Policy Objects will be used to distribute the deployment" check box.
