| Changing default unitsIssueYou installed Inventor® 11 from the DVD. Now, you want to change the default units to millimeters (mm). SolutionImportant: The process as described below is no longer supported in recent versions of Inventor. The new process can be found on the wiki at http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Inventor/enu/2012/Help/0073-Autodesk73/0285-Work_Env285/0286-Work_env286/0288-Measurem288 To change the default settings for older Inventor installations - Remove the C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 11\Templates folder.
- On the Start menu (Windows), click Settings > Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
- In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, select Inventor 11 and click Change.
- In the Autodesk Inventor Setup wizard, select the Modify option. Click Next.
- Set the Measurement unit to Millimeters, and then follow the prompts to complete the modification of the installation.
