Pointer becomes invisible over objects filled with AutoCAD® Index Color 8IssueWhen you move the pointer over objects filled with a solid hatch of Index Color 8, the pointer becomes invisible. SolutionTo resolve this issue, you will need to change the color of the pointer to a different color. To change the color of the pointer, use the method below that corresponds to your version of AutoCAD®. AutoCAD 2007/2008 - On the command line, enter Options
- In the Options dialog box, click the Display tab.
- On the Display tab, under Window Elements, click Colors.
- In the Drawing Window Colors dialog box, under Context, select 2D Model Space from the drop-down list.
- Under Interface element, select Crosshairs from the drop-down list.
- In the Color drop-down list, select Select Color.
- In the Select Color dialog box, under Color, delete the existing entry.
- In the Color field, enter 252. Click OK.
- In the Drawing Window Colors dialog box, under Context, select Sheet/layout.
- Repeat Steps 1-8 to change the color of the Crosshairs.
- Click Apply & Close.
- Click OK.
AutoCAD 2004/2005/2006 - On the command line, enter Options
- In the Options dialog box, click the Display tab.
- On the Display tab, under Window Elements, click Colors.
- In the Color Options dialog box, under Window Element, select Model Tab Pointer from the drop-down list.
- In the Color drop-down list, select Select Color.
- In the Select Color dialog box, click the True Color tab.
- On the True Color tab, under Color, delete the existing entry.
- In the Color field, enter 252. Click OK.
- In the Color Options dialog box, repeat Steps 1-8 to change the color of the Layout tabs pointer.
- Click Apply & Close.
- Click OK.
