This update combines DirectX 9 functionality along with fixes to the XRef feature. DirectX 9 opens up a new array of visually exciting interactive lighting and effects in the native 3ds max viewport. With DirectX 9 compatibility, 3ds max 5.1 takes advantage of state of the art shading technologies from graphic card vendors including NVIDIA Corporation and ATI Technologies, Inc.

Refer to the Readme for more information.

This update is for customers who have 3ds max 5.1. You will not be able to utilize the DirectX functionality if you do not also have a video card and driver which supports DirectX 9, the DirectX software from Microsoft, and DirectX shaders.

This also addresses issues with XRefs that are detailed in the Readme.
