AutoLISP® and other types of routines run slowlyIssueAfter you install AutoCAD® or AutoCAD LT®, AutoLISP®, VBA, ARX, and ActiveX applications run significantly slower than in previous versions of the software. SolutionFor these routines to run normally, you must turn off Active Assistance.
To turn off the persistent display of the Active Assistance:
- Locate the Active Assistance on the system tray, or right-click the Active Assistance box, and click Settings.
- In the Settings dialog box, clear the Show on Start check box and select Demand Load.
- Right-click the icon again and click Exit.
Active Assistance cannot be turned off programmatically, so you must manually perform the steps above to turn it off.
Note: To use Active Assistance during a session, click Active Assistance on the Help menu. When finished, close Active Assistance by clicking the 'X' in the upper right corner of the Active Assistance window.
