The Autodesk® Mechanical Desktop 6 Object Enabler is a freeware application that allows AutoCAD® 2002 to read the boundary information of solids created in Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 6. You can perform the shade, render, and hide routines with these objects.

Note: If you are using AutoCAD 2002 to add annotation or other basic AutoCAD data to drawings created in Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 6, do not install the Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 6 Object Enabler so that you retain the ability to save your edits.

Important: During the installation of this Object Enabler you will be prompted to select the product you wish to install the Mechanical Desktop Object Enabler on to. It is extremely important that you do not select AutoCAD 2005 (or any AutoCAD 2005-based application). If you do select AutoCAD 2005 (or an AutoCAD 2005-based product), attempts to launch this application will produce an error message similar to the following:
