This is a free (unsupported) plug-in from Discreet.

The PDB file importer for 3D Studio MAX Release 2 and 3D Studio VIZ Release 2 reads chemical molecules in the PDB (Protein Database) format, which is widely used on the Web. Refer to the Readme file for information about functionality.
