Error: "An unrecoverable error has occurred ... no need to recreate recovery files."
When you start Autodesk® Revit Architecture, the following error is displayed:
An unrecoverable error has occurred. The Program will now be terminated. All of your data has been recently saved, so there is no need to create recovery files.
The user profile is corrupt.
To reset the user profile:
Open Windows Explorer and browse to the folder with the name of your Revit installation:
In XP:\Documents and Settings\**user**\Application Data\Vista In Windows 7: C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\
Note: The AppData folder is a hidden folder. To show hidden folders, select Show hidden files and folders from Windows Explorer. To do this in Windows 7, follow the steps in the following article: Show hidden files.
Within the Roaming folder you should find a folder named "Autodesk Revit Architecture 20##." Rename this folder to "Autodesk Revit Architecture 20## Backup."
A new folder is created when you restart Revit. If a file was corrupted within the folder, Revit may be able to then start with a new initialized user folder.
