Determining the installed Wiretap Gateway version via Terminal

Issue

You want to obtain the version of Wiretap Gateway running on a workstation.

Perform the following tasks to get the version of Wiretap Gateway running on a workstation:

  1. Open Terminal and type:
    /usr/discreet/wiretap/tools/current/wiretap_client_tool -h localhost:Gateway
     
    Note: you can replace "localhost" with the hostname of a remote gateway system to get info on that system.
  2. The output will provide information, including the local Wiretap Gateway server version.
    For example:
