AutoCAD Plant 3D 2013 Pipe Supports and Isos Hotfix - English

This hotfix applies to AutoCAD Plant 3D 2013 English only.

Issues Resolved by This Update
Isometrics

  • Wye and lateral tee fittings did not display correctly in isometric drawings. This fix requires an update to the Iso style. You can copy the updated Iso style files from ISOProjectTemplates in the program folder to the Isometric folder in your project. Doing this will overwrite changes made to your existing Iso style.
Updating Individual Project Iso Style Files: To avoid losing all changes to your Iso style, you can copy files directly from the ISOProjectTemplates folder in the downloaded ZIP to your project. Copy from the ZIP and overwrite files of the same name in your project. This will avoid losing customizations in files that are not updated in the hotfix (for example: changes to Iso.dwt will not be lost).
  • If an isometric drawing split into two sheets, weld numbers would always reset for each sheet. To set weld numbers to increment each sheet, you can now change the ContinuousIndexing value to "true" for the Index element in isoconfig.xml.
  • Pipe supports (welded stanchions and dummy Legs) were disconnected in isometric drawings and the PCF file.
  • Some end types (for example: Lined Flange LFL, Triclover TC, and BPE from ASME catalogs) were not correct in isometric drawings and the PCF file.
  • Welds connecting pipe supports to piping did not display in the isometric drawing. This fix requires that you change the port property of pipe supports to PL or BV (from Undefined_ET). Port properties for spec-based pipe supports can be modified using the catalog editor and added to pipesupports.pspx using the spec editor. The pipe supports catalog is CPak Common\SUPPORTS Catalog.acat in the content folder. You can use the properties palette to set the end type for non-spec pipe supports created using plantpipesupportadd.

Pipe Supports

  • Dummy leg pipe supports did not position correctly (perpendicular to piping) when attached to pipe in the 3D Model.
  • When attaching pipe supports to elbows, some supports did not snap to the bottom of pipe (BOP) as expected.
