Running a Clean Registry in Simulation Moldflow Products

Issue

You are having odd issues with directory access, results access, as well as general usability concerns and need a quick fix without having to go through the entire reinstallation process. The application itself actually cleans and organizes the registry keys for the program in question to ensure the default configuration is being used to bypass any of the issues that are causing the problem. These applications are located in the the installation directory for each program, see below for the specific locations;

  • C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation Moldflow Insight 20XX\bin\cleanreg.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation Moldflow Adviser 20XX\bin\advcleanreg.exe

The application is run like any executable. Simply launch it with admin permissions, and accept the clear to defaults prompt. This will restore the default installation and is a vital tool in addressing many configuration and installation issues that can occur.
