Legacy HASP Key Utilities

The Dongle utilities are for Legacy MAP-Software users requiring update files and install drivers for their HASP HL USB keys.

Note: These utilities are for legacy MAP software and not for the Autodesk Fabrication 2013 products.

The purpose of the update file (hupdate.exe) contained in the dongleutilties.zip file is to enable HUP file updates to be triggered against their HASP HL USB key. Please read the Performing a LOK Update section below.

Users requiring to move Legacy software over to a new PC may also require the dongleutilties.exe for installing the HASP key driver (haspdinst.exe) for activating the HASP hardware lock on the machine requiring the license. Please view the Installing the HASP HL drivers section below.

Performing a LOK Update

1. Download dongleutilties.zip
2. Extract to a specified folder of your choice.
3. Browse to the location of the extraction using Windows Explorer and run the hupdate.exe from within the 2.41 sub folder.
4. Select the Browse for Update File option and navigate to your HUP file.
   
   
   
5. This will automatically trigger the update and confirm when completed.
6. Use the Viewhasp.exe tool within the 2.41 folder to confirm the contents of your HASP key have been successfully updated.

Installing the HASP HL drivers

1. Download dongleutilties.zip
2. Extract to a specified folder of your choice.
3. Select Start menu > Run or if using Windows 7, search for the Run command line.
4. Browse to the location of the haspdinst.exe within the HASP SRM 5.75 drivers sub folder.
   
   
   
5. Navigate to the end of the path and enter <space>-i as shown below:
   
   
   
6. Press OK to begin the installation and await confirmation that it has been successfully completed.
