System requirements for Autodesk® Softimage® 2014Softimage 2014 is supported on the following 64-bit operating systems and at the minimum requires a system with the following 64-bit hardware: - Windows® 7, Windows® 8 Professional, or Fedora™ 14 Linux® operating system
- 64-bit Intel or AMD multi-core processor
- 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)

- The latest version of Microsoft® Internet Explorer®, Apple® Safari®, or Mozilla® Firefox® web browser to access online supplemental content

Certified Hardware For the latest list of certified hardware, including graphics cards, refer to the Softimage certification chart. Notes: Microsoft Windows - To run Softimage, you can be a Restricted user (Users), Standard user (Power Users), or Administrator.
- To install and license Softimage, you must be an Administrator.
- Autodesk does not support 32-bit applications running on 64-bit machines.
- A license for Softimage will activate both the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version of Softimage. The setups for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions can be run from the Softimage DVD or accessed via download.
Linux® operating system - Softimage 2013 is also capable of running on other configurations, such as boutique distributions of Linux. However, enumerating systems that are not tested and cannot be supported or that fall below the requirements for a productive user experience is beyond the scope of the online certification charts.
