System requirements for Autodesk Mudbox

This document provides the system requirements for Autodesk Mudbox.

System Requirements for 64-bit Autodesk Mudbox 2014

• Windows® 8 Professional edition, Windows® 7 Professional edition, Apple® Mac OS® X 10.7.x or 10.8.x, Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 6.2 W S, or Fedora™ 14 Linux operating system
• 64-bit Intel® or AMD multicore processor
• 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended)
• 1 GB free hard drive space for installation
• Certified hardware-accelerated graphics card (refer to the Recommended Hardware wizard)
• Ethernet adapter or wireless Internet card
• Microsoft® Internet Explorer®, Apple® Safari®, or Mozilla Firefox® web browser
• 3-button mouse

To view the Autodesk Mudbox software documentation online, you must have Internet access and current web browser software. Apple® QuickTime® 7 application program is recommended for viewing the Autodesk Mudbox software Learning Movies.

System Requirements for Autodesk Mudbox 2013

Software

The 32-bit version of Autodesk® Mudbox® 2013 software is supported by any of the following operating systems:

• Microsoft Windows 7 Professional operating system (SP1)
• Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional operating system (SP3)

The 64-bit version of Mudbox 2013 software is supported by any of the following operating systems:

• Microsoft Windows 7 Professional operating system (SP1)
• Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (SP2)
• Apple® Mac OS® X 10.7.x operating system
• Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 6.0 WS operating system
• Fedora™ 14 operating system

Mudbox 2013 32-bit and 64-bit software requires the following supplemental software:

• Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 8 internet browser or higher
• Apple® Safari® web browser
• Mozilla® Firefox® web browser

Hardware

At a minimum, the 32-bit version of Mudbox 2013 software requires a system with the following hardware:

• Windows: Intel® Pentium® 4 or higher and AMD Athlon™ 64, or AMD Opteron™ processors with SSE3 instructions set support
• 2 GB RAM
• 10 MB free hard drive space
• Certified hardware-accelerated OpenGL® graphics card
• Ethernet adapter or wireless Internet card
• DVD-ROM drive
• Three-button mouse or certified Wacom® tablet

At a minimum, the 64-bit version of Mudbox 2013 software requires a system with the following hardware:

• Windows and Linux: Intel Pentium 4 or higher and AMD Athlon 64, or AMD Opteron processors with SSE3 instructions set support

The 64-bit version of Mudbox 2010 software is supported on any of the following operating systems:

• Microsoft Windows XP x64 Edition (SP2)

At a minimum, the 32-bit version of Mudbox 2010 software requires a system with the following hardware:
