Changing License Server Procedure for Autodesk Simulation CFD ProductsIssueYou want to change the license server that your machine looks to for license access for Autodesk Simulation CFD products. SolutionThe procedure below details how to change the server your workstation(s) look to for licenses: 1. Navigate to the installation directory of the software in question. For example, here is the path for CFD 2013. C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation CFD 2013
2. Locate the licpath.lic in the installation path
3. Open the licpath.lic file and on the first line specify the server desired to look to via either hostname or IP address (ignore the default MAC address)
This configuration can be the hostname or the IP address of the server in which you'd like your client machines to look. The location of this path is local to each client, so each client can be configured to look to different servers if you have multiple license servers available.
