2013: Configuring and Installing Autodesk Moldflow ProductsSome videos are from 2012 as the process has not changed for some of these procedures. This is one of a series of videos explaining the process for installing and configuring Autodesk Simulation Moldflow 2013 products. As Autodesk Simulation Moldflow is a unique product in it's registration, installation, and configuration compared to other Autodesk products, this is a more comprehensive representation of moving through your upgrade. In this series, you will learn how to register, install, and configure the Autodesk Simulation Moldflow 2013 products. Autodesk Simulation Moldflow 2013 License Registration and Activation After you've completed all the pre installation topics, reviewed the documentation, etc. the next step is to register and activate your Autodesk Simulation Moldflow 2013 product licenses. Configuring Simulation Moldflow 2013 Licenses Once you have your 2013 product licenses, they need to be configured in FLEX License Manager so they are available for your user(s) to access from your server. The license manager also allows you to confirm that the licenses are seen on the server and available for use. Note: This video is from 2012 as the license configuration process is identical for Autodesk Moldflow 2012 and Autodesk Simulation Moldflow 2013 products. Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight 2013 Synergy Installation The new Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight installer is now the common Autodesk installer. This will allow you to configure deployments from the installer as well as configure the installation options to a more custom setup. This release also, like 2012, requires separate installation of both synergy and the solvers. The order is not important, as either can be installed as stand-alone depending on the end function of the machine. When installing both though, it is recommended to start with synergy. Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight 2013 Solver Installation The new Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight installer is now the common Autodesk installer. It also still requires the installation of both the user interface and the solvers. The order is not important, as either can be installed as stand-alone depending on the end function of the machine. When installing both though, it is recommended to start with synergy. Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Adviser 2013 Installation The Simulation Adviser 2013 installer also uses the common Autodesk installer. Other than that, it is similar to previous releases, including the requirements for serial number and product key during the installation. You'll also have an option to select a trial install. Autodesk Simulation Design for Manufacturing 2013 Installation With the new Autodesk Simulation Moldflow 2013 portfolio a new program has been introduced, Autodesk Simulation Design for Manufacturing (DFM). The installation is similar to the other products, and also utilizes the common Autodesk installer. You can also choose to install this product as a trial as well. Autodesk Simulation Design for Manufacturing 2013 30 Day Trial Configuration Installing the Autodesk Simulation DFM 2013 product as a trial allows you to use it for 30 days before you must activate it by providing a serial number.
