Unable to update or uninstall Revit Server 2012IssueWhen attempting to update or uninstall Revit Server 2012 using an account other than the one used during the original installation, one of the two scenarios will occur: When attempting to update Revit Server 2012, you will receive the following dialog:
When attempting to uninstall Revit Server 2012, it will not appear in the Programs and Features list, though the RevitServerAppPool and Revit Server AutoSync services will be present. SolutionWhen possible, the account used when Revit Server was initially installed should be the account used to update or uninstall. If this account is not available, an administrator can do the following: - Log into the Revit Server host system using another account.
- Install Revit Server 2012 again.
Note: This will overwrite the configuration of the original Revit Server installation, so it is very important that you use the exact same settings and directories as the initial installation, or some existing server-based data will become inaccessible. - After Revit Server has been installed, proceed with the update or uninstall.
After these steps have been followed, this new user account must to be used to update or uninstall Revit Server.
