This document provides the system requirements for Autodesk Simulation CFD products.

System Requirements for Autodesk Simulation CFD 2014

  • Windows® 8 x64, Windows® 7 Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise edition (SP0 or SP1 for x86 and x64), or Windows® XP Professional (x86: SP3, .net 4.0; x64: SP2, .net 4.0 SP1)[1]
  • Quad core processor: E5640, 2.66GHz, 12M, 5.86GT/s (recommended); or dual-core processor: 2.0 GHz or higher, 2 Mb L2 cache per core, 800 MHz FSB minimum1
  • 4 GB RAM or higher (12 GB recommended)[1][2]
  • 500 GB hard drive or higher (SCSI: 15,000 RPM, SATA: 10,000 RPM)
  • 30 GB or higher of free disk space with 2 GB free disk space for installation (500 GB or higher recommended)
  • 512 MB DRAM or higher OpenGL®-capable graphics card (recommended)
  • 256 MB on-board memory (minimum)
  • 24-bit color setting at 1,280 x 1,024 or higher screen resolution
  • DVD-ROM drive[3]
  • Microsoft® mouse-compliant pointing device
  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 8.0 or higher
  • Internet connection for web downloads and Subscription Aware access
  1. For superior performance, Autodesk recommends a supported 64-bit operating system, a supported 64-bit processor, and 12 GB RAM or higher.
  2. We recommend allowing Microsoft Windows to manage virtual memory, as needed. There should always be at least twice as much free hard disk space as system memory (RAM).
  3. A DVD-ROM drive is not required if installing with the electronic download.

For Autodesk Simulation CFD 2013 (32-Bit, 64-Bit)
