Revit appears already installed in Windows Control Panel, even after a Clean Uninstall

Issue

You are trying to perform a clean installation of Revit, but a previous corrupted installation of Revit appears in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel, and doesn't allow you to install a new one.

You already followed these steps for a Clean Uninstallation

Solution

Erase the following 3 registry keys. This will indicate Revit has been uninstalled to Windows Installer:

 
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\<Product ID>

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\<Product ID>
 
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\<Product Name>
 
- Replace <Product Name> by the full product name:
- Replace <Product ID> with the correponding value:
