A compact thermal model (CTM) is defined, and a part touching the CTM is suppressed. The following error is issued:
The part on either the board or case side of a Compact Thermal Model (CTM) is suppressed
At least one part touching the CTM is not meshed. Any part that touches either the Board or Case side of a CTM must be meshed.
Check the Material branch of the Design Study bar. Suppressed parts appear with a line through them to indicate that they are omitted from the analysis. To correctly simulate the CTM, resume any part that contacts the Board and/or Case sides of the CTM:
Right click on the part entry within the Design Study bar, and click Resume. (An alternative method is to open the Mesh task, select the part, and click the Resume button.)
A message will appear indicating that the all mesh sizes will be removed from the model. Click Yes to proceed.
To reapply the mesh distribution, open the Mesh task and click the Automatic size button.
