Error Message—Error reading Property Section of Control File
Issue
The following error message is reported after starting the simulation:
#Error Reading Property section of control file # Control file name: Analysis_Name.ctl
Solution
An issue with a custom material is likely preventing the Solver from reading the necessary property data.
Check for excessively long material names (greater than 200 characters), special characters, or incorrect and/or incomplete properties.
If nothing seems out of the ordinary, use a process of elimination to locate the problematic material:
Systematically replace custom fluids with Air and custom solids with Aluminum from the Default material database. Do this until the problematic material is identified.
Replace the problematic material with a new custom material. Be sure to assign physically realistic properties and use a new material name.
