Error Message—Compact Thermal Model cannot be a Moving Part

Issue

The following error message is written as a Motion analysis is started:

 Error: Compact Thermal Model cannot be a moving part

Solution

A motion definition was assigned to a part with a Compact Thermal Model (CTM) material. Autodesk® Simulation CFD does not support moving CTM parts.

Only parts with Solid materials can have a motion assignment. This includes surface parts (2D) that are assigned a solid material as well.

The solution is to either change the material assignment to a solid or remove the motion specification from the CTM.
