Cannot run Civil 3D report

Issue:

When trying to execute reports in Civil 3D’s Toolbox tab no report is displayed or following message is displayed:

“Error displaying report in registered browser the specified file was not found”

Solution:

This happens if Internet Explorer is not set to be a default web browser. To resolve the issue set Internet Explorer as a default bowser following these instructions:

  1. From Start Menu select Default Programs
  2. Click on Set Default Programs
  3. Select Internet Explorer and click “Set this program as default”
  4. Click OK
  5. In Civil 3D’s Toolbox tab, select desired report and Execute it

If report is not appearing, go into C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Temp\ directory and look for CivilReport.html.
