How to request a license to use previous versions of Autodesk software on Subscription

Scenario

You're a Subscription Customer and need to request a license to use a previous version of Autodesk software you have licensed under Subscription.

Solution

Contract Managers and Software Coordinators can request the use of previous versions for most Autodesk software products, giving you greater flexibility to use the most recent release, while continuing to use older versions for ongoing projects.

Note: Use of previous version is subject to certain conditions and may not be available for all software products or in all locations.

If you are an end user, you'll need to find your Contract Manager to request a previous version for you.

If you are a Contract Manager or Software Coordinator, watch our video walkthrough or follow the below steps to request a previous version:

  1. Log into Subscription Center and click Contract Administration.

Note: This link only appears for Contract Managers and Software Coordinators.

  1. Click Previous Versions.

  1. Check the Eligible Product List to determine whether the product and version you want is available.

Select your license type (Standalone or Network) and click Continue.

  1. Select the option that best applies and click Continue

  1. Confirm your contact information is correct and select your contract number from the drop down list.

Enter the serial number and name of the product you're currently using, as well as the previous version for which you’d like to request a license.

    Click Submit.

Note: For most products, licenses are available for up to three previous versions. Please allow a minimum of 3-5 business days to process your request.
