Why Autodesk software may come on a USB drive—and not CD or DVD

You receive a USB drive containing your Autodesk software, but are accustomed to using a CD or DVD to install new software.

Solution
Some of our software is available only on USB drives, so that you have to manage just one device, not multiple CDs or DVDs. The single USB drive should simplify the install process for you and reduce the amount of space you’ll need to store your Autodesk media.

As a Subscription Member, in lieu of physical media (e.g., USB, CD, DVD), you may download most Autodesk software directly from Subscription Center.
