2011: AutoCAD for Mac splash screen never closesIssueWhen you start AutoCAD for Mac it displays the following splash screen while loading:
After AutoCAD for Mac has finished loading and is ready to use, the splash screen continues to display over the top of the editing window. SolutionThis issue is being researched for a fix in a future release. If you are experiencing this problem, you can bypass the splash screen by launching AutoCAD for Mac from a Terminal window using the -nologo option. Using Terminal: - Open a Terminal window (the Terminal app is typically found in the /Applications/Utilities folder).
- Type /Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD\ 2011/AutoCAD.app/Contents/MacOS/AutoCAD -nologo and press return.
- Quit the Terminal application.
Using Applescript: - Download the following zip file and extract the acadmac.app file to the AutoCAD installation folder.
- Launch acadmac.app.
Note: Either method will work for launching AutoCAD for Mac and bypassing the splash screen. Since no splash screen will display there will appear to be a slight delay before the AutoCAD for Mac UI begins displaying.
