Autodesk Maya Services & Support

Unable to start Maya, MotionBuilder or Mudbox using a network license

Issue

You get a licensing error when starting Maya, Motionbuilder, or Mudbox on the same computer. In this case, Maya will start but Motionbuilder will not launch.

You have confirmed that your license server is working and you have enough available licenses on your server.

Solution

You will need to rename the CascadeInfo.cas file to Cascadeinfo.old and restart the program.

The location of the Cascadeinfo.cas file is noted below:

Windows Vista/Windows 7

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm

Windows XP

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\ADLM

Mac OS X

/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Adlm/.config/

Linux

/var/opt/Autodesk/Adlm/.config
