Deployment of Maya 2011 via command lineIssueYou have a network license of Maya and you want to create a client silent install (deployment) of Maya 2011 instead of using the Deployment Wizard via Setup.exe. SolutionTo install Maya 2011 hotfix 3 via msiexec command please follow these steps. 1. Extract autodesk_maya_2011_hotfix3_win_64bit.exe to a folder on your local hard drive. i.e. C:\aTest\Maya2011x64_hotF_3) 2. In DOS command prompt change directory to C:\aTest\Maya2011x64_hotF_3 and run following command to install Maya 2011 C:\aTest\Maya2011x64_hotF_3\x64\Maya>msiexec.exe -i Maya2011.msi ACADSERIALNUMBER=99999999 ACADSERIALPREFIX=333 ADLM_PRODKEY=656C1 ACADSTANDALONENETWORKTYPE=3 ACADSERVERPATH="your_server_name 0" INSTALLDIR=C:\MAYA\ ACADLICENSETYPE="Network License" ACADLICENSESERVERTYPE="Single Server License" /quiet /qn /L* .\maya_install.log Using 'INSTALLDIR=c:\maya\' instead of 'INSTALLDIR=c:\maya' will install the missing adlmint.dll file.
Adding 'ACADLICENSETYPE="Network License" ACADLICENSESERVERTYPE="Single Server License"' will create the "LiCPATH.LIC" file automatically with the value specified for ACADSERVERPATH Please note in this command line 333-99999999 is a sample Maya serial number, INSTALLDIR controls where Maya 2011 installation directory will be, you need to specify it. Note: if you would like to install Maya docs you need to install it separately using the command below: msiexec.exe -i Maya_Docs_en_US2011.msi /quiet /qn /L* .\install_Maya_Docs.log. Create LICPATH.lic file in notepad with following content SERVER your_SERVER_name 0 USE_SERVER 4. Copy LICPATH.lic to Maya 2011 installation directory (e.g. c:\Maya) 5. You also need to copy adlmint.dll file into c:\Maya\bin folder
You can find adlmint.dll file in Maya 2011 deployment image you created earlier, it will be in \AdminImage\x64\Maya\Retargetable Folder #2\ folder
