Warning! This script deletes a file from your computer and terminates a process running on your machine. Before running this script, contact your system adminstrator. Run these scripts with Adminstrator privledges.
Fix it yourself
This issue can be caused by two things on your computer. The above script corrects both issues.
The WSCommCntrData.xml file on your machine could be corrupt. Your Revit product may hang when it is being read. While your Revit product is closed, move or delete the WSCommCntrData.xml file at the location below:
Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\Revit\<Autodesk Revit Version>\ENU\Components\WebServices\WSCommCntrData.xml
Windows Vista & Windows 7 C:\Users\%username%\Appdata\local\Autodesk\Revit\<Autodesk Revit Version>\ENU\Components\WebServices\WSCommCntrData.xml
In order to see this file make sure that Windows Hidden folders are visible on your machine
