Subscription Advantage Pack for AutoCAD Map 3D 2011 InstallationSystem RequirementsThese are the special installation and configuration requirements and/or possibilities for using the FDO Provider for ArcGIS. ESRI Software and Licenses The operation of the FDO Provider for ArcGIS is dependent on the presence of the ESRI ArcEngine 9.3.1 and a valid license for it. The ESRI ArcEngine is included with the ESRI ArcGIS Desktop products: ArcView®, ArcEditor®, or ArcInfo. The ESRI ArcEngine is also available with customized ESRI applications from several ESRI developers/vendors. There is no need for any additional ESRI license to run the FDO Provider for ArcGIS once you have installed one of the above mentioned products. NOTE: The feature set for the FDO Provider for ArcGIS depends on the ESRI license type you have. For more information about installing the ArcGIS 9.3.1 Desktop applications and license types, refer to the ESRI documentation. InstallationThe FDO Provider for ArcGIS includes a plug-in for AutoCAD Map3D that displays a more user friendly “Data Connection” dialog for this provider. For English language version, copy the following files to the ..\Plugins\DataConnect folder of the AutoCAD Map 3D installation folder (typically, C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Map 3D 2011\Plugins\DataConnect). Please make sure the language folder (ja-JP for example) contains a localized ArcGISDataConnectPlugin.resources.dll.
