Error: The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again.
Problem
You are trying to activate a trial version of Autodesk Smoke for Mac and you receive the following error message, even though you have entered the correct product serial number:
"The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again (1)"
Solution
If you are sure the serial number is correct, then the issue is that you are trying to activate a network license.
You cannot activate a product trial into a network-licensed product.You can only use the Activate button to change from a product trial to a stand-alone license. In order to properly set up a network license for your product, you must uninstall Smoke and then reinstall it and select "Network License" in the installer.
