This article provides and overview of the Stone and Wire log files. Log files are the first place to look when troubleshooting problems with Stone and Wire. The log files are rotated every time the related process restarts.

The following Stone and Wire log files are located in the /usr/discreet/sw/log directory:
sw_bwmgr.log - Stone and Wire Bandwidth Manager log file.
sw_dbd.log - Logs Stone and wire Database (sw_dbd) transactions.
sw_probed.log - Logs messages related to the probed Wire network daemon.
sw_purge.log - Logs the tasks completed by sw_purge when launched manually.
sw_serverd.log - Contains information about framestore connections.
The following log files are located in the /usr/discreet/log directory:
vic.log - Reports messages from the Volume Integrity Check utility.
ifffsWiretapServer.log - Logs messages reported by the Wiretap server. It does not log Wiretap transfers.
Note: All other Autodesk Creative Finishing application log files are located in the /usr/discreet/log directory.
