The following combinations of Operating Systems, Browsers, and Cortona VRML plugin versions may not be fully functional:
- 2003 64-bit/Internet Explorer/Cortona 5.1
- 2003 64-bit/Firefox 2x & 3x/Cortona 5.1 & 6.0
- XP/ Firefox 2x & 3x/Cortona 6.0
- Vista 64-bit/ Firefox 2x & 3x/Cortona 6.0
|View the page on a screen size greater than 1024 x 768 or open the VRML File link on the left sidebar. |
Try viewing the 3D model by downloading the VRML file from the Green Building Studio downloads page rather than viewing through the results page.
Try another browser and/or a different Cortona plugin version.
|Creating Design Alternatives that include Daylighting Sensors and Controls will not permit you to create additional design alternatives. ||Run any Design Alternatives that include Daylighting Sensors and Controls before adding additional Design Alternatives. |
|A Green Building Studio project that has both SI and IP gbXML files will default the units on the Run List page to the units of the first gbXML file submitted to the project. The area of subsequent gbXML files, if in different units, may show an incorrect value. ||Refresh the Run List data by toggling the SI and IP radio buttons. |
|Autodesk Revit® Products|
|Rooms are properly defined and "Calculate Room Volumes" is checked but rooms are not exported to gbXML file. ||All rooms should be combined into the New Construction phase. |
|Clerestory curtain walls may not export properly to gbXML file. ||Try modeling openings as window objects, rather than curtain walls. See article by ARBA Studios LC for more information. |
|In Revit MEP2009, HVAC zone names with a space, "+," "=," or "&" in the name will trigger error messages when the gbXML file is submitted for a run. For example, an HVAC zone name of "Zone A" will trigger an error message and not allow the run to complete.This issue has been resolved in Revit MEP 2010. ||Name all HVAC zones with alpha numeric characters and without spaces. For example, instead of naming HVAC zone as "Zone A" or "Zone+A" rename it to "ZoneA." |

|In Revit MEP, HVAC zones encompassing more than one level may trigger an error message “FLOOR … has no SPACE” when submitted to the Green Building Studio web service. ||Attach only one space per HVAC zone. |
|Revit 2010 is writing the Pad element to gbXML as an underground wall in error, should be written as an underground slab. Causes an error. ||Make the Pad element not room bounding and add a Floor element that is room bounding. |
|Water usage tab in Green Building Studio displays “Invalid Catchment Area” message. ||This is a Revit bug, which is getting triggered because the roof surface tilt is pointing in a direction that violates the schema. This bug causes an invalid rain catchment area error to be thrown on the water usage page. |
