Red X on Element Definition and Material Won't Go Away

Issue

You would like to define Element Definition, Material Properties or Analysis Parameters, but the red X associated with each item in the model tree won't go away.

Solution

The solution to this problem may be related to other active software services running on the computer.  In one such incident a customer disabled Dell™ ControlPoint™ Connection Manager.  After which, Algor was restarted and the red X on each of the following three items went away after modification:

  • Element Definition
  • Material Properties
  • Analysis Parameters
