| AutoCAD 2011 CHM-Based Help There are known issues with search performance and search results using the AutoCAD 2011 Online Help and we are actively working on a fix. Once ready, the goal is to make this fix transparent – it will be integrated into our Online Help infrastructure, and no extra steps will be required by you to implement the fix.
In the meantime, we are providing an interim solution in the form of Compiled HTML (CHM) files. This will enable you to access our CHM-based help information locally.
Instructions: - Download the AutoCAD2011CHMHelp.zip to your local drive (such as My Documents\AutoCAD2011Help).
- Extract the zip file to this same folder.
- To access the CHM Help, you’ll need to click on acad181.chm or create a desktop shortcut.
Note: The CHM search will not work in 64-bit Windows 7.
You can also point to the locally installed HTML help by turning on the local help checkbox under Options, System. Or you can access the PDF’s from the Online Help Home page under Online Resources.
